| Earlier this morning, Newtown Square Fire Company was dispatched to assist Broomall Fire Company at the PetSmart in Marple Township. PECO had been on location working on some wires to the rear of the building and smelled an odor of smoke.
Fire companies arrived to find smoke coming from a rooftop HVAC unit. They gained entry into the store and found a Smoldering fuse box, which was extinguished entirely by the crews on scene.
The future pets living in the store were generally uninterested in the events of the early morning and stayed in their cages with a few raising a lazy eye to see the commotion.
Crews ventilated the building with no further action needed. |
