For your interest in joining the Newtown Square Fire Company.  We have several classifications of members; the most obvious and most needed is that of Active Firefighter. Stop by anytime and ask about joining!  Our company meetings are held on the Second Monday of each month at 7:30 PM.

Step Up!
When a resident of Newtown Township calls for emergency help, neighbors answer – a highly-trained team of neighbors dedicated to protecting the people, property, and environment of the township we love.   We are the volunteer firefighters of the Newtown Square Fire Company.  We welcome you to join our team.

Stand Out!
	Newtown Square Fire Company's volunteer firefighters have a lot in common with other township residents.     We are parents, sons, and daughters. We have full-time jobs, lawns to mow, meals to make, and hobbies to pursue.      We work hard as executives, IT professionals, carpenters, police officers, business owners, township employees, coaches, students, engineers, and more.

But there are things that set us apart and unite us as a team of first responders our neighbors can depend on:

• A strong desire to give back to the community we love.
• The need to act when help is needed.
• The drive to learn and practice skills that enable us to provide that help.
• The desire for the camaraderie of being part of a team.

However, we are always looking for talented people to work behind the scenes. If your talent is Human Resources, not climbing ladders, we welcome your specialty talents.

Upon receipt of your application, you will be contacted by the Membership Committee who will guide you through the next steps of the process to become a volunteer member.

In completing your application consider the following classifications of members:

	Active Firefighters – must be at least 18 years of age.
	Junior Firefighters – ages 16 and 17 with the endorsement of parents or guardians.
	Cadet Firefighters – ages 14 and 15 with the endorsement of parents or guardians.
	Fire Police – Members 21 years of age or over who have completed their probationary membership.
	House – Members who serve in a capacity other than in emergency services.
	Fire Company Auxiliary – Performs services in support of the Fire Company
