February 21, 2026 Just before noon today firefighters from Newtown Square, Radnor, Berwyn and Broomall responded to the historic Papermill House and Museum, located at Saint David’s Road and Papermill Road for a possible building fire

Crews arrived to find an odor of something burning in the 1845 addition of the historic structure that houses the general store. Crews inspected two outlets and used thermal imaging cameras to check for heat behind the walls. Crews secured the circuits the fed the outlets and turned the building over to Newtown Square Historical Society President Cathy Cavalier, who was kind enough to give a tour of the building to the firemen!
