Monday evening, Newtown Square Fire Company, along with Malvern Ambulance and Willistown Township Police were dispatched to an accident at the intersection of Providence Road and Marlboro roads for a reported car overturned with subjects trapped.
Newtown Fire Chief, Chris Young arrived to find a single subject trapped, and established Providence Road Command. Rescue 41 arrived on location and stabilized the vehicle with the use of cribbing and jacks. While deployed, the Hurst tool (The Jaws of life) was not needed, the front windshield was removed, and the patient extricated.
Two patients were transported to Paoli hospital by Malvern Ambulance with non-life threating injuries. |
