Our volunteers started Christmas morning with this call at 0100 and they were on scene for 6 hours in the brutal cold. Since then, they have responded to six more calls today. We wish to thank our members' families for their understanding as their loved ones answer fire calls even on holidays!

At approximately 0100hrs today the Broomall Fire Co. along with mutual aid companies from surrounding townships were alerted to this residential house fire in the 1100blk of Cedar Grove Road, Marple Twp. First arriving units found a well involved 2 story home. Over the next 2 hours fire crews worked to extinguish the fast moving fire working in subfreezing temperatures. All occupants of the residence were able to escape with non-life threatening injuries and were transported to area hospitals for treatment. The cause of the fire is under investigation and Chief 53 had Cedar Grove Command.
