The fire company sadly announces the death of Virginia Rankin at 81 years of age on Friday 5/21/21.
Ginny was a 32 year member of the Newtown Square Fire Company's Ladies Auxiliary who loved serving her community. She had a fantastic smile and was always ready with a remedy for whatever issue came up.

You might have seen her at a flea market or craft show, but that was only one aspect of her service to the fire company. She managed the hall rentals at the old station for a multitude of events for decades. Ginny was always one of the first ones at the station cooking when she knew there was a large fire that the volunteers would be busy at for hours.
Nothing seemed to stress Ginny out or overwhelm her! She whipped up breakfast casseroles after beating 8 dozen eggs by hand and made sure the volunteers all ate before going off to their "real" jobs.

She was a loving wife to Bill (our longtime fire prevention officer) and devoted mother to Randy, Steven and Carrie. We will miss her terribly and wish to thank the Rankin Family for sharing her talents with us for so many years. Please keep Ginny's family in your prayers during this difficult time.
