On Sunday May 29, the fire company volunteers were dispatched to a wires/transformer call with hazards. Engine 41 arrived to find wires down and burning on the side of the road with arcing. This also caused power outages in the area including the traffic light at Route 252 and Saw Mill Road. The road was closed to traffic while awaiting PECO to mitigate the situation with the assistance of Traffic Unit 53 and the Newtown Township Public Works. The road was closed for about an hour before reopening.
