NSFC was dispatched Sunday morning for a fire alarm at the Hilton Garden Inn Hotel across the parking lot from Whole Foods. Upon arrival, the call was found to be a dryer fire on the first floor and Chief Everlof upgraded the assignment to add mutual aid fire companies to this high life hazard structure. Crews from Broomall Fire Company, Rosetree Fire Company, and Media Fire Company were added to the assignment to assist. The fire was able to be contained to the laundry room and the smoke was ventilated from the structure. No injuries were reported. This is a great reminder during Spring forward weekend to make sure your smoke detectors are working as they can be your first notice of an emergency! Please never ignore a fire alarm and always evacuate the building for your safety! |
