At 0425 in the morning, Ladder 41 was dispatched to cover Station 17 (Aston Twp Fire Department) as they were working at a fire in a strip of stores in Brookhaven on Edgmont Ave. While en route to Station 17, the NSFC was sent to the McDonald’s in the 4200 Blk of Edgmont Avenue for a grease fire on the grill. The crew made access to the closed business and extinguished the fire. After clearing that scene, Ladder 41 was called into the Cocco’s Pizza fire in the 4600 Blk of Edgmont Avenue to assist with overhaul of the stores. Finally, the crew proceeded to station 17 to cover Aston’s area until their volunteers returned and were back in service. The crew from Newtown Square returned home at 0736.
