| The Newtown Square Fire Company was dispatched to Green Country Village following a report of an oven fire. The response included additional assistance from Broomall, Radnor, and Berwyn fire companies, with Manoa Fire Company providing a Rapid Intervention Team.
Newtown Police arrived at the scene and found the homeowner had evacuated safely, bringing her cats with her. Squad 41, led by Lieutenant Harper, arrived shortly after and confirmed that the fire in the oven had been extinguished. Members from Newtown Square Fire Company and Broomall Fire Company remained on site to ventilate smoke and odors from the residence.
The resident reported that her cats were safe and mostly unaffected by the situation.
