One Overturned on the Pike

At 1217 hours, Company 41 and MICU 104A (Riddle EMS) were alerted for a reported Motor Vehicle Collision in the 3700 block of the West Chester Pike in Newtown Township. Multiple calls to 911 reported a two vehicle crash with one on its side.

Deputy 41 (Young) arrived and confirmed the report and advised on one subject lying on the sidewalk and requested a second Ambulance. This request brought MICU 23 from Media.

Squad 41 (FF Guyer) arrived and took a blocking position. The crew split to began patient care and secure any hazards.

Engine 41 (FF Kenny) arrived and assisted the Squad crew.

MICU 104A and MICU 23 both arrived and tranported one Patient each to area hospitals.

Traffic 41 and Traffic 53 (Broomall) closed the westbound lanes of West Chester Pike at Winding Way.

All units were clear of the incident at 1315 hours.
