| At 4:33 PM this afternoon, Newtown Square Fire Company was dispatched to assist Broomall in the 3000 block of West Chester Pike for smoke in the building.
Ladder 53 arrived to find light smoke in the building and was able to track down the source to an electrical device in a bedroom.
Members of Newtown Square Fire Company checked for extension and preformed ventilation of the building while monitoring the air quality. Before returning to station, members of Newtown Square Fire Company assisted in repacking the hose on Ladder 53.
Units on scene: Ladder 53, Engine 53, Ladder 41, Squad 53. Engine 41, Manoa and Llanerch fire companies responded but were canceled before arriving on location.
Earlier in the day Broomall and Newtown Square Fire Companies also responded to Marple Public Library for an odor of smoke in the building. |
