Each week, we want to take some time to recognize our volunteers who dedicate their time to the Newtown Square Fire Company.

First up- Dan Gilronan!

Dan has been a member since 2018 and currently serves as a Board Member and with the Fire Police.

Dan decided to volunteer because of the declining number of members.

Outside of the fire company, Dan was an electrician and school bus driver but has since retired.

Dan also used to serve at East Lansdowne, Darby Fire Patrol and has many great memories from his time there.

When asked what he would say to someone who is considering becoming a volunteer, Dan said, “There is something for everyone to help the Volunteer Fire Co from administrative, house support to training to become an everyday hero.”
