| Deputy Chief Mike Kenny arrived and smelled an odor of something burning, which prompted him to upgrade the fire assignment to a building fire, which added the Broomall Fire Company, Media Fire Company and the Manoa Fire Company.
Crews from the Newtown engine stretched a hose line into the basement of the school where heavy smoke was located. A search of the interior located a fire in the computer room that had been extinguished by an overhead sprinkler. Fire crews remained on scene to ventilate the smoke from the building. |
