The first call of the day came in at 11:16am for a fire alarm at a group home on Tyson Road. It was quickly determined to be a false alarm.

The next call wasn’t long after the first. At 11:38 am the fire company responded to the Melmark Home on Wayland Road for a fire alarm. It was also a false alarm activation like the Tyson Road call.

Things were quiet until later in the afternoon, at 3:15 pm the fire company responded to assist the Broomall Fire Company with a house fire on Meadowbrook Lane. This fire was determined to be a fire in the laundry area which did not cause significant damage.

At 4:58 pm the fire company was dispatched to assist the Paoli Fire Company on Pheasant Run Drive for a house fire. The fire was in the kitchen and crews went to work, assisting on scene as needed.

And to finish out a busy day, the fire company was dispatched at 6:22 pm to assist the Media Fire Company with a building fire on South Orange Street. Police arrived quickly and determined the smoke was from unattended cooking. As a result, the Media Fire Chief recalled the unit from Newtown Square and held the assignment to his fist due units.
