March 30, 2026 Today at 5:30pm the volunteers of the Newtown Square Fire Company responded to an address on Fairview Avenue for a brush fire behind the home

Crews arrived to find a large brush fire with fire consuming a still standing, dead tree. Due to the fire spread and remote location, a request was made to bring in two engines from the Broomall Fire Company.
Crews worked to extinguish the fire and cut down the burning tree so complete extinguishment could be made.
