March 13, 2026 At approximately 4:30 pm today the volunteers of the Newtown Square Fire Company responded to the 400 block of Bishop Hollow Road for trees/ wires on fire

Engine and Chief 41 arrived to find a broken tree limb had made contact with electrical wires and was burning. The tree limb was also in danger of falling onto the roadway below, which caused for Bishop Hollow Road to be closed between Hempstead Road & Gradyville Road. Nearly an hour later PECO arrived on scene and removed the tree limb. The roadway was opened at 6:00pm. Special thanks to the traffic unit from the Broomall Fire Company that assisted with closing the roadway.
