| Just before 0130 this morning, the volunteers were dispatched to the 4500 block of Florida Ave for a reported house fire. Newtown Township PD Delco arrived first and began evacuating the home due to the smoke condition in the residence. A small fire was located in the basement and quickly extinguished. Fortunately, there were working smoke detectors throughout the home. Thanks to Broomall Fire Company Edgmont Township Fire Company No 1. Station 64 Media Fire Hook and Ladder #1 - Station 23 and Riddle Paramedics for assisting at the scene. |
