The volunteers started their day early this morning just after 0315 with an alarm at the veterinary hospital on West Chester Pike in Edgmont assisting the Edgmont Fire Co. Fortunately, members were still in station after that call when they were dispatched at 0417 to an accident in the 4800 blk of West Chester Pike in Edgmont along with the EFC. Squad 41 arrived to find one vehicle overturned after striking a pole with the driver trapped inside. Crews stabilized the vehicle and extricated the driver for transport to Paoli Hospital by Riddle EMS. West Chester Pike was closed eastbound for a time while the accident scene was cleared.
