Water Rescue on the Ellis Preserve

The volunteers from NSFC were alerted at 0530 this morning for a water rescue with an occupant trapped in the vehicle. NSFC and Newtown Police located the vehicle in a retention basin and made contact with the driver. Manoa Fire Company was requested for their water rescue team and the driver was removed uninjured. The fire companies assisted the tow with removal of the vehicle from the waterway before clearing the scene.
